Gavi Gangadhareshwara Temple

A Shiva temple cut into a natural rock cave in Gavipuram, built in the 16th century by Kempe Gowda I (legend dates it to the sages Gautama and Bharadwaja). On Makar Sankranti, sunlight passes between the horns of the Nandi and falls on the linga inside the cave. It is a state-protected monument.
