Sankey Tank

A 37-acre tank in Malleshwaram, built in 1882 by Colonel Richard Hieram Sankey of the Royal Engineers to secure Bangalore's water supply after the Great Famine of 1876–78. It is now a park with paved walking paths, a swimming pool and a separate tank for Ganesha idol immersion.
